Bedzzz Express opened our doors in 1995 in Birmingham, AL. Over the past 23 years, we have grown to 50 stores spanning five states and are now under ownership of Clark Cooper, President and CEO.  Our slogan, "Where Dreams Begin" is carried by all team members with the goal of providing sleep solutions to consumers. Rest for the Homeless

A good night’s rest for the homeless. That’s what Bedzzz Express has provided for the local families served by Family Promise of Birmingham.

 “The guests just glowed when they saw the new [gel] mattresses…the kids would…spread their arms and fall back on them,” explained Julie Wright, Director of Marketing and Development for the nonprofit. 

A home away from home for families that have fallen on hard times and are now homeless, Family Promise of Birmingham brings hope and help through housing, meals and other services. Family Promise helps families get back on their feet and live independently, Julie stated. “The average stay is 82 days.” Community partners like Bedzzz Express and other faith and civic organizations make this support possible. 

“We can’t thank Bedzzz Express enough” for their generous gift of 16 mattresses, Julie stated. A good night’s rest will definitely change lives.  

Bedzzz Express also partners with churches/ministries in need of mattresses, as well as donates mattresses for disaster relief.
